Bona Dea's
Inspired Gluten Free Goodness for Austin!
In Roman Mythology, Bona Dea, “the good goddess” served as the deity of fruitfulness, of the earth and in women. Bona Dea, Austin's woman owned and operated baking company, now applies its own goodness to gluten free breads and baking mixes. Each inspired batch is infused with love and natural grains from the earth.
As a cancer survivor, Bona Dea founder, Lauren Hubele began experimenting with ways to incorporate healthy locally grown whole grains into her artisan products. The products available are personal favorites Lauren developed first for her own family and friends.
Each Bona Dea gluten-free recipe blends nutrient rich grains including millet flour, teff and brown rice – producing products both healthy and delicious. Bona Dea is delighted to serve the gluten-free community who have had so few options for baked goods.
All of our gluten free products are produced in our commercial baking kitchen on a designated set of gluten free baking days following the protocols set forth by the GIG for production in a non-dedicated kitchen.
Bona Dea Gluten Free Products are available for neighborhood delivery each Thursday and at the Downtown Farmer's Market each Saturday.
